As a psychologist and filmmaker, I know that art helps define the way I work. For me, therapy and art share characteristics: Here is a place to entertain new possibilities, with the sense that something new must be born. Here is a place to create a language; to work with ideas that are unfamiliar. While the movement toward the new can be painful, it also elevates us.
